The coffee journey began in 1991 when Bill Ladd, the owner of EspressoTech Southeast, became a barista at "Cup A Joe" in Raleigh, NC. From there, he became a touring professional musician and spent countless hours in coffee shops across the United States, gaining a deep appreciation for the craft and technology behind coffee brewing.
In 1998, after relocating to Wilmington, NC and becoming a licensed master electrician, Bill founded Bill Ladd Electrical Services. It was during this time that he recognized a demand for reliable technical services for commercial espresso machines and coffee equipment in Southeast North Carolina and Northeast coastal South Carolina.
Fueled by a passion for coffee and expertise in electrical, mechanical and technical services, EspressoTech Southeast was born.
